Hello, Finally arrived in Alaska - the final frontier. This late in the season Absinthe films was based out of Juneau, the capital of the 49th state. Jules Reymond, Jan-Petter Solberg, Travis Rice, Marc Frank Montoya and the filmers David Vladyka and Justin Hostynek himself shaped the crew. I was a little nervous because I haven't snowboarded for five weeks but this was my last opportunity to make it to Alaska to mix some diverse terrain into my season. Indeed upon arrival I could feel how late in the season it was, a ten days storm passed without any significant accumulation of fresh snow. Newbie to the coast mountain range we were looking to our guide and local Mark Schultz. Mark offered us goodtimes not only bound to snowboarding but let us in on some quality Alaskan fishermen experiences during the days that didn't allow us to go riding. We bought permits to fish for king salmon but were out of luck instead we dropped crab pots and were on for some deadliest catch. After we pulled up the catch it hit me by suprise that we actually have caught some crab. So we were feasting dungeous crab and lived the alaskan dream. Once the weather cleared enough we would go snowmobiling but if the chance was there we would await the helicopter pick up and get a lift to the nearby mountains strictly aiming for north facing terrain which beared the best quality snow. Thanks to Mark and everyone in the crew!!
