Goosebumps

Not really, but the run in the middle there we got dropped off on was called Goose and if you combine that with getting three heli lifts back up there, so called “bumps”, Blair and I can claim Goosebumps quite literary. Too bad this was going to be the one and last day of riding Alaska with Blair for my Absinthe Films videopart this year because our helicopter got pulled for an overhaul.

Scott Newsome is a renowned alpine guide who dropped by our hotel a few days ago to show us some photos of the area that his Eagle Pass Helicopter service flies to. As our window of opportunity almost slimmed to none we lifted off this morning at seven after one week of waiting time with an exact route in mind. This photo was taken by me to memorize the way down when we got dropped up there. Blair went down the middle testing the slope since we encountered some unstable top layers of the snow. But we had to move quick since overcast was rolling in.

Friday 13 and our snowmobile caught fire, the weather here is warm and wet! So we are hiking around aimlessly. The lunch we had prepared, goat cheese spread with salmon, brings back the bright side of an unproductive day. Blame Canada for being beautiful.
